India renews push for pharma market access in China

India has renewed its call for broader pharmaceutical market access in China, arguing that deeper commercial engagement between the two countries is necessary despite, and in some ways because of, the sharply skewed trade numbers that continue to define bilateral pharmaceutical ties, reports The Pharma Letter’s India correspondent.

Speaking at the World Peace Forum hosted by Tsinghua University in Beijing, Indian Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami said pharmaceuticals should become a central pillar in efforts to rebalance India-China trade.
