
India’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) market hit a four-year high in the April to June quarter, powered by a single blockbuster: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries' (BOM: 524715) $11.75 billion acquisition of Organon & Co.
The landmark deal not only marked the country’s largest transaction of the quarter but also propelled the pharma, healthcare and biotech sector to the top of India’s dealmaking charts contributing $13.7 billion in value, reports The Pharma Letter’s India correspondent.
