Indian Health Ministry looks to biosimilars to ease cost of cancer care

Cancer is on the rise in India. With 1 million people diagnosed with it every year, some 700,000 of them die, making it one of the leading causes of death in the country, reports The Pharma Letter’s India correspondent.

A new report has suggested that by 2020, around 1.7 million are expected to have cancer and deaths due to cancer will soar up to 20%. To tackle the challenge, India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to take corrective action
