
Every euro invested in innovative medicines generated an estimated 5.67 euros ($6.48) in social and economic value across Europe and six euros in Greece, according to industry-backed analysis highlighted by the Hellenic Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (SFEE).
The findings come from research by WifOR Institute, published by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations and cited by SFEE, which argues that spending on new medicines should be assessed as a long-term investment rather than only as a healthcare cost.
