Lilly’s Jaypirca combo cuts progression risk in Phase III CLL study

US pharma major Eli Lilly (NYSE: LLY) says Jaypirca (pirtobrutinib) cut the risk of disease progression or death by 45% when added to venetoclax and rituximab in relapsed or refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia and small lymphocytic lymphoma.

The Phase III BRUIN CLL-322 trial met its primary endpoint of progression-free survival, as assessed by an independent review committee. Lilly said the study is the first Phase III trial to show superiority over a venetoclax-containing control arm in CLL.
