Novartis debuts radioligand therapy for prostate cancer in India

Swiss pharma giant Novartis (NOVN: VX) has launched India’s first radioligand therapy for advanced prostate cancer, marking a significant milestone in precision oncology.

The therapy, Pluvicto (lutetium-177 vipivotide tetraxetan), targets prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-positive cancer cells, delivering radiation directly to tumours while sparing healthy tissue. This nuclear medicine approach represents a shift toward highly targeted cancer care.
