Novartis fails with legal challenge to IRA Medicare drug price negotiation program

Swiss pharma giant Novartis (NOVN: VX) has failed in with its legal challenge to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) drug price negotiation program.

The program directs the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)—through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)—to negotiate prices with drug manufacturers, and has been objected to by pharma companies since its proposal.
