Novo Nordisk beats forecasts, posting 19% jump in first-half 2010 net profit as sales grow 14%

Danish insulin and diabetes drugs giant Novo Nordisk this morning reported strong financial results for the first half of 2010, with net profit rising 19% to 9.42 billion Danish kroner ($1.65 billion), earnings per share leaping 25% to 11.63 kroner and total sales jumping 14% to 29.07 billion kroner.
