Novo Nordisk broadens semaglutide case beyond weight loss

Danish pharma Novo Nordisk (NOV: N) has presented a batch of post hoc semaglutide analyses at the American Diabetes Association meeting, using data from SELECT, STEP, ESSENCE and OASIS trials to press the drug’s case across obesity-related complications.

The findings cover obstructive sleep apnoea, asthma-related adverse outcomes, blood pressure, cardiometabolic risk markers and liver health.
