Swiss independent drugmaker Nycomed, which is the subject of an acquisition by Japan’s largest pharma firm Takeda, has posted second-quarter 2011 financials, with year-on-year sales flat at 786.2 million euros ($1.12 billion) but up 2.4% in local currencies.
EBITDA for the quarter was down 4.5% at 188.6 million euros (+2.2% in local currencies); although for the first half of the year EBITDA rose 16.4% to 501.0 million, including a one-time Forest Laboratories payment (+16.5% in local currencies).
