
British pharma major AstraZeneca (LSE: AZN) reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $15.3 billion, up 8%. Core EPS reached $2.58, up 5%, as core operating profit increased 12%, extending momentum from a $58.7 billion full-year 2025.
Growth was led by oncology and rare disease, with both delivering double-digit gains. Demand for newer cancer medicines and continued expansion in rare conditions underpinned performance, while alliance revenue rose sharply. Oncology remains AstraZeneca’s largest business, reflecting its strategic shift toward high-value specialty drugs.
