
US biotech startup ParcelBio has emerged from stealth with a $13 million seed financing aimed at overcoming one of the key biological constraints limiting broader use of mRNA medicines beyond vaccines and short-acting therapies.
The San Francisco-based company said the round was led by Breyer Capital, with participation from General Catalyst, Y Combinator, Metaplanet, SurgePoint Capital and ZAKA VC. The funding will support development of ParcelBio’s APEXm platform and help advance its preclinical pipeline, including an in vivo CAR-T program for autoimmune disease.
