Pfizer names Danna Breen to lead obesity discovery as Kendra Bence exits

US pharma major Pfizer (NYSE: PFE) has changed the leadership of its obesity discovery group, with Danna Breen (pictured above) appointed vice president and head of obesity discovery following the departure of longtime scientific leader Kendra Bence.

Dr Bence said on LinkedIn that she had left the company after more than a decade at Pfizer’s Kendall Square research site, where she led internal medicine research across metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, formerly known as NASH, and obesity discovery. She described the role as “the absolute privilege of my career” and said she would disclose her next move later this summer.
