Roche makes C$190 million investment for pharmaceutical development in Canada

The Canadian subsidiary of Swiss drug major Roche (ROG: SIX) is planning to investment over C$190 million ($191.8 million) over the next five years in a global development site, bringing 200 highly-skilled and specialized jobs to Mississauga, Ontario. This investment is made in partnership with Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, as part of the government’s plan to create jobs and strengthen local economies, the firm noted.

Individuals at this Pharmaceutical Development site, one of six in the world, will manage operations for all stages of global clinical trial research, significantly contributing to the development of highly innovative medicines to benefit patients worldwide.
