Russia may face another increase in drug prices over the next several weeks, according to predictions of analysts at the Russian Ministry of Health.
An official spokesman of the Russian Ministry of Health said that the increase may be in the range of 20%-30% and could take place as soon as July 1. The increase is mainly due to the fact that production of cheap drugs still remains unprofitable in Russia.
Another reason for the planned increase is the attempts of producers to compensate for the traditional decline in demand during the summer period.
