Russia to postpone "second-extra" rule for vital drugs during public procurements
The Russian government plans to postpone the introduction of "second-extra" rule for vital drugs during public procurements until December, reports The Pharma Letter’s local correspondent.
The "second-extra" rule for vital drugs was supposed to take effect on July 1, 2026. In accordance with the rule, drugs from the first section of the list will receive a preference in public tenders if their full localization cycle is confirmed in countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. At the same time drugs from the second section will receive a 30% price preference.
