
Japanese pharma major Takeda (TYO: 4502) has agreed a multi-year collaboration with the Indonesian government to build the country’s plasma collection capacity and improve access to plasma-derived medicinal products.
The initiative follows a decision by Indonesia’s Ministry of Health to grant Takeda a plasma fractionation license, allowing the company to collect and fractionate plasma as part of a phased program. The collaboration also involves the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/BKPM and the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs.
