Deal-making news last week including Spanish dermatology specialist Almirall entering into a research collaboration with China’s CrystalO Biopharma. Sentynl entered a deal to license lung disease candidate alvelestat from Mereo BioPharma, which could earn the latter nearly half a billion dollars. Also, PTC Therapeutics is acquiring Fabry disease candidate ST-920 from Sangamo competitive bankruptcy auction. On the M&A front, Jazz Pharmaceuticals announced an $820 million upfront bid to acquire Actio Biosciences and its investigational epilepsy treatment ABS-1230.
