
Swiss rare disease biotech Vaderis Therapeutics has closed an oversubscribed $152 million series B private placement and started HEROIC, a global Phase III study of engasertib in hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), a genetic vascular disorder with no approved therapies anywhere in the world.
The round was co-led by the life sciences team at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, part of Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS), and TCGX, with participation from Omega Funds, EQT Life Sciences, part of Swedish investment group EQT (Nasdaq Stockholm: EQT), Perceptive Advisors and Kalehua Capital. Existing backers Medicxi and Droia also took part.
