US biotech firm Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: VRTX) has reported second quarter revenues of $311 million, compared with revenues of $418.3 million in 2012. The figures released yesterday (July 29) included net product revenues of $99 million from Kalydeco (ivacaftor) and $156 million from Incivek telaprevir). MarketWatch noted that Vertex has now reported five consecutive quarters of losses amid slumping Incivek sales.
