A new first‑of‑its‑kind glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist daily weight-loss pill is now available for eligible patients in the UK, expanding treatment options for obesity.

Danish pharma major Novo Nordisk’s (NOV: N) Wegovy (semaglutide pill) brings this established class of medicines into a once-daily tablet, offering a new option for people managing their weight.
