The pharmaceutical industry has reminded the Spanish government of the commitments that it has made to the country during a meeting with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez.
Farma Industria, the trade group representing pharma in Spain, brought together around 20 members to meet the politician, to intensify discussions on public-private collaboration and follow up on a plan that was launched in 2023.
As part of the plan, pharma will have invested as much as nine billion euros ($9.35 billion) in Spain by the end of this year, a figure that could multiply in the following three years with an environment that favors investment, according to Farma Industria.
