Increase in Rx items dispensed in England last year

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) has published the annual Prescription Cost Analysis (PCA) for 2024/25.

The key findings showed that:

The cost of prescription items dispensed in the community was £11.2 billion ($15.2 billion, a 2% increase from £10.9 billion in 2023/24.
