Phase III next for buoyant Insmed

USA-based Insmed Incorporated closed Tuesday’s trading up by more than a third.

Insmed earlier announced positive top-line results from its randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase IIb study of treprostinil palmitil inhalation powder (TPIP), administered once daily in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

The study met its primary endpoint and all secondary efficacy endpoints. For the primary endpoint, the placebo-adjusted reduction from baseline in pulmonary vascular resistance was 35% with least squares (LS) mean ratio of 0.65.
