Pharmacy has key role to play in reducing health inequalities

Responding to the launch of the document Health Inequalities: Progress and Next Steps, by UK Health Secretary Alan Johnson on June 9, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain said that pharmacists are ideally placed to play a significant role in helping to reduce health inequalities across the country.

David Pruce, RPSGB director of practice and quality Improvement, said pharmacists are key partners in the health care team and have the potential to make an even greater contribution to improving the health and well being particularly in disadvantaged communities.
