Norwegian pharmaceutical company Photocure ASA, a specialist in the photodynamic treatment of cancer, has announced plans to de-merge its drug delivery subsidiary PCI Biotech. Photocure said that the split, which will see existing Photocure shareholders receive shares in PCI on a one-to-one basis, will allow both firms to focus on their diverging commercial ambitions.
