Scottish drugmaker ProStrakan says that Sancuso (granisetron transdermal patch) has been launched in the USA for patients with chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. The agent was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in September as the first and only patch to provide up to five consecutive days of control of nausea and vomiting for patients receiving a moderately and/or highly nausea-inducing chemotherapy regimen. To market the agent, ProStrakan has a 67-person US sales force that was hired in partnership with NovaQuest.
