Quality marks and cheap government stores for India's generic drugs
The Indian Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers' Department of Pharmaceuticals is considering the introduction of quality marks for generic drugs, in an effort to prevent sub-standard products from entering the domestic market. The move comes in response to growing numbers of small-scale manufacturing operations and concerns over maintaining quality standards for exported medicines (Marketletters passim).
