Quark/Silence's kidney transplant drug enters Ph I/II trials

Silence Therapeutics, a UK biopharmaceutical company focused on RNA interference, says that its partner, USA-based Quark Pharmaceuticals,  has initiated Phase I/II trials of a drug developed using its  proprietary AtuRNAi chemistry.

Quark says that QPI-1002 - its small interfering RNA drug targeting the  p53 gene - has entered studies for the prevention of delayed graft  function in deceased donor adult kidney transplant patients.
