Hungarian drugmaker Richter Gedeon's first-half 2008 profit fell 29.2% year-on-year to 13.13 billion Hugarian forints ($87.5 million), due to unrealized losses following reassessment of currency-related items. Operating profit rose 2.5% to 19.28 billion forint as group sales totaled 114.83 billion forint, up 3.2%.
