Roche Diagnostics, one of the trinity of businesses that together form Swiss giant drugmaker Roche, looks set to continue its strong business growth with branch expansion and new product launches in China this year, a senior official at the the company told the China Daily newspaper.
Felix Wang, head of Roche Diagnostics in charge of the mainland China and Hong Kong business, speaking at a sponsorship progam to assist children in fighting diabetes, said: "we will expand our presence to more cities, such as Shenyang, Xi'an, Wuhan and Chengdu." This would add to existing operations in Beijing, Guangzhou, Tianjin and Shanghai, he noted.
Mr Wang went on to say: "we can establish much closer ties with our clients by extending our presence nationwide." He also noted that the move comes as a step towards forming new alliances with local partners, "to get a win-win result through co-marketing," the China Daily reported.
