Roxane's Generic Diclofenac
Roxane Laboratories has become the first firm in the USA to be granted approval for a generic version of Ciba-Geigy's non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug Voltaren (diclofenac sodium). Roxane's product will be made available in both 25mg and 50mg tablets. Branded sales of the drug are more than $270 million a year, according to the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Generic Drugs.
