French drug major Sanofi-Aventis has announced the retirement of David Williams, current president and chief executive of the group's vaccines division Sanofi Pasteur. Mr Williams, who stepped down on August 1, will continue to serve as chairman of Sanofi Pasteur's board until January 16 next year. He will be replaced by Wayne Pisano, formerly senior vice president of global commercial operations and corporate strategy.
