US drug major Schering-Plough is to appeal against a Missouri jury's finding that the firm, along with two of its subsidiaries, Warrick Pharmaceuticals and Schering Corp, overcharged the state's Medicaid program for prescription drugs. The firm has been ordered to pay least $7.3 million to the midwestern US state of Missouri; additional punitive damages may be determined against the three defendants.
