Shire Files IND For Aciclovir Formulation
- Shire Pharmaceuticals of the UK has filed an Investigational New Drugapplication in the USA for its controlled delivery formulation of aciclovir, the antiviral marketed as Zovirax by Glaxo Wellcome. The new formulation will reduce the number of daily doses, currently up to four/day for Zovirax.
