Strong Phase II data for candidate dengue vacc
Acambis has welcomed data from French drug major Sanofi-Aventis' dengue vaccine candidate which is based on technology it licensed from the UK vaccine specialist. The encouraging Phase II trial results were presented at Sanofi's recently-held annual R&D meeting. The French firm noted that it plans to test the product in a large-scale Phase III trial which it hopes to initiate in 2008.
