Taiwan has been removed from the USA's "Special 301 Watch List" of countries which have been seen not to safeguard intellectual property rights. Announcing the decision, US Trade Representative Sean Spicer said the move was attributable to the country's progress on protection and enforcement of IP rights, saying it had come a long way in strengthening its laws.
