Teva's Copaxone cleared in EU as preventative treatment
European regulators have cleared Israeli generic giant Teva Pharmaceutical Industries' branded multiple sclerosis drug Copaxone (glatiramer acetate injection) as a preventative treatment. Through the mutual recognition procedure, the ruling by the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) paves the way for the Jerusalem-based firm to market the drug in 24 European countries.
