Total Rx provides 75% savings at over 54,000 US pharmacies

5 May 2009

Fox Insurance, a New York, USA-based Medicare Part D provider, has launched its new prescription drug discount card: Totoal R Savings. The  new card, free of charge to anyone desiring it, provides up to 75%  discount on Rx drugs at a variety of national and local pharmacy chains  nationwide - totaling more than 54,000 locations in the network thus  far. Nationwide savings average 13% on brand-name drugs and 57% on  generic, with total savings for users averaging 42%. The Total Rx  Savings program is particularly useful for individuals currently covered  by Medicare, but are still responsible for purchasing prescriptions on  their own.

Noting that the Total Rx Savings program offers services well above and  beyond traditional drug discount cards - and all free of charge and  without the need to have connected insurance coverage, Jarrod Pierce,  marketing associate and coordinator at Fox, said: "we recognize that it  is the uninsured and under-insured population who has both the greatest  need and most limited access to expensive prescription drugs. We believe  our program provides them the best possible solution by providing deep  discounts on both brand-name and generic prescription drugs, as well as  telephone help by a live pharmacist or physician, language assistance  services, free drug eligibility assistance, and mail-order services that  will help them to mitigate the rising cost and restricted access to  health care in the United States."
