Tysabri patients remain free of MS for two years
Five times as many multiple sclerosis patients taking US biotechnology firm Biogen Idec and Ireland's Elan Corp's Tysabri (natalizumab) were free from disease activity versus those on placebo, according to a new study. Results from a retrospective analysis showed that two years after beginning treatment with Tysabri, 37% of patients remained free of disease activity vs 7% on placebo.
