USA/Vietnam food and drug safety deal signed
The USA and Vietnam have signed a memorandum of understanding on a partnership to "enhance the safety of food, feed, drugs and medical devices traded between the two nations," according to a statement issued by the US Department of Health and Human Services. A special mention was made in recognition of the fact that the agreement was negotiated and finalized within two months of being envisioned during a visit to Vietnam by the DHHS Secretary, Michael Leavitt.
