
US biopharma Vertex Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: VRTX) has previously presented positive Phase III data on suzetrigine, an investigational, oral, highly selective NaV1.8 pain signal inhibitor for the treatment of moderate-to-severe acute pain.
In July, the US Food and Drug Administration accepted Vertex’ New Drug Application submission for suzetrigine, assigning a Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) target action date of January 30, 2025.
