Wyeth Canada names Christian Velmer as president
The Canadian arm of US drug major Wyeth Pharmaceuticals has named Christian Velmer as president and managing director of the subsidiary. Mr Velmer joins the firm from Merck Serono in Germany and replaces Arnout Ploos Van Amstel, who has been promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the parent company's institutional business unit.
