The International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Task force (IMPACT) has announced that Singapore will be the site of its first public forum on February 13-15. The World Health Organization-led group will address the theme: Combating Counterfeit Medicines: Where the Regulatory and Technology Roads Meet, under the joint chairmanship of Ilisa Bernstein, Director of Pharmacy Affairs at the US Food and Drug Administration, and Harvey Bale, the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations' director general.
Dr Bernstein said that "pharmaceutical manufacturers and regulators have an interest to keep themselves informed about developments and this IMPACT Forum should provide a handy means of doing so." Registration for the forum and additional information are available from the web site: www.impactglobalforum.org.
